On Monday I entered a manuscript into the old Amazon Breakthrough (you really think you're going to get somewhere with this?) Contest, which was a lot of work -- revamping something older and making it more thriller-esque. This is my year of throwing stuff at walls and seeing what sticks, which is also every other year.
Kind of uncharacteristically I am taking a few days off and doing things like organizing, cleaning, and paying more attention to my kid. Yesterday I was like, oh, my life could be so much more graceful/generous/easy if I wasn't trying to cram in writing with everything else. Then I remembered that I'm not really the graceful/generous/easy type. But it is nice for a couple of days.

Have a good couple of days off.
Oh, and sending out queries again for the Breakthrough.
But you get my point.
I am often very sorry about this writing disease. Life would be so much simpler without it. I think. Then I remember. I would still be me.
So, carry on!
