The final Nebula ballot just came out and I'm so thrilled to see a lot of names on there of my writing comrades -- congrats to all! I haven't had time to read a lot of the work so far, but I'm sure my schedule is just about to start getting super easy, right? Right?

And, there's a special hot spot in my heart to see three, yes three, of my 2005 Clarion West classmates on the ballot. Clarion West is a lot of different things, but one of those things is a cohort you live and write with for six weeks, and then keep in touch with, swap writing with, and root for. There's something really sweet about seeing peeps in my group do well. (Except for that one guy. Isn't there always that one guy/girl/person in a group that sucks?)
